Awards
Gertude Jekyll
English Roses have won many different prizes from independent trials held around the world.

These include prizes for fragrance, for excellent all-round garden performance, for growing as climbers and as winners of the people's award. We were delighted when Gertrude Jekyll was voted the Nation's Favourite Rose by BBC Gardener's World viewers. More recently, Graham Thomas was voted the World's Favourite Rose by the World Federation of Rose Societies.

Some of the English Roses have won several different awards. One of our most well-recognised varieties is Molineux, with eight awards, while Teasing Georgia has won awards for fragrance, as a shrub and as a climber.

During winter and spring, work continues at the nursery to prepare roses for displays created for the major European flower shows.

David Austin Roses have been awarded fourteen Gold Medals for displays of roses at The Chelsea Flower Show.

Awards have also been won at BBC Gardener's World and The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and at Courson in France. In 2006, we won our first show award in Moscow.
