          Description

          An exceptionally beautiful rose with distinctive neat, flat blooms. Each bloom is a lovely soft pink, the smaller central petals deepening to rich apricot and surrounding deep-set stamens. The strong Tea scent becomes more Old Rose, with delicious hints of lemon and grapefruit.

          Behind the name
          The Brontë Society asked us to name this rose to celebrate the bicentenary of the birth of the novelist, Emily Brontë.Her much-loved novel, Wuthering Heights, was published in 1847, a year before her untimely death at the age of 30.It is a dark tale of passion and revenge, centered around the relationship between Cathy Earnshaw and Heathcliff.

          Bare root roses are dormant plants and can be planted November and April.

          Potted roses are available all year round and can be planted at any time of the year.

          Aside from extreme weather, roses can be planted at any time during the year. The extreme weather conditions that we advise against planting in are when the ground is frozen, water-logged or during a drought.

          We take every care to breed, grow and deliver the best roses. If a rose fails to grow or arrives damaged, we will replace it free of charge. That’s the David Austin promise.
