David Austin is still passionate about developing new varieties of English Roses. His goal remains the same as when he first started breeding roses as an amateur back in the 1940s: to try to develop the healthiest roses possible without compromising their beauty, fragrance, grace and, most importantly, their charm – the quality they are most renowned for. Our new roses each make their own special contribution to the diversity of our collection. Whilst all varieties share the quintessential charm of the English Roses, they vary in form, fragrance and color.
